Kenneth Joel "Kenny" Hotz (born May 3, 1967) is an international award winning Canadian producer and comedian. He is a former South Park staff writer, award-winning writer for Vice, creator/star of the Comedy Central television series Kenny vs. Spenny, creator and writer of the FX series Testees and Kenny Hotz's Triumph of the Will.
As the world deals with the worst pandemic in a century, two grown men somehow manage to turn the global tragedy into a self-serving, egomaniacal hissy fit that ends up having little to do with reassuring their fans that everything will be okay. Kenny and Spenny are back, and surprisingly they might be just the right medicine for Canadians stuck at home. Kenny, the diabolical schemer, has bamboozled a half-hour special episode out of the CBC, where he once again plans to throw Spenny under the ‘ambulance’ to make it great. Some things never change.

He came up with the idea to tackle newsworthy issues that would be both appealing and have meaning for audiences. Kenny vs. Spenny was a show about two friends trying to win a competition, says Hotz. Testees is a Canadian television series, created by Kenny Hotz and written and produced by Kenny Hotz and Derek Harvie. Testees originally aired on Thursdays at 10:30 PM EST on FX and ran from October 9, 2008 to December 18, 2008. and debuted on October 14, 2008 on Showcase in Canada. The show is filmed in Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario. Testees is now showing on FX in the UK, I.Sat in Brazil and Comedy Central in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. After one season, Testees was not renewed by FX.

The film is about the life of a homeless man, known only as "'Shorty' Gordy", who was a beloved but drunken, potty-mouthed panhandler, which was filmed over three years, covering Gordy's life and death. The movie premiered at Palm Springs Film Festival, Cinéfest, the Worldwide Short Film Festival and won best short at the Hot Docs Film Festival.
