Tage Danielsson

Tage Danielsson was born in 1928, in a working class home in Linköping, Sweden. He went to Uppsala University, and graduated as a Master of Arts in English, French and the history of literature. In 1956 he met Hans Alfredson at the Swedish Radio company. They worked together for almost thirty years and made variety shows, films and TV-productions that were loved by the Swedish people. They were comedians, yet everything they made had a serious message. On stage Tage Danielsson was the tall, red-headed man, genuinely kind and folksy but with a sharp intellect and a malicious tongue. Uno Myggan Ericson said of him that he was "a nice viper".

Miss Fleggman's Mustache is not so much a revue as a musical comedy depicting 60 years of Swedish social history, with music by Gunnar Svensson and directed by the four actors in the original cast under the name Tage-Lena EkFredson. At the premiere on January 14, 1982, at Göta Lejon, some of AB Svenska Ord's leading comedians, Hasse Alfredson, Tage Danielsson, Lena Nyman, and Gösta Ekman, took on the play's many different roles, which reflect the four temperaments: the tired Frida Fleggman, the angry Kurt S Wresig, the cheerful Count Niklas von Sanguin, and the melancholic Alvar Dysterkvist. New characters quickly enter the scene, including Kolerik Wresig, who pretends to be Kurt Wresig's son, and Dysterkvist's voluptuous Norwegian daughter Hedvig, played by Tage in an unlikely guise.

Svea hund, complete title Svea Hund på Göta Lejon (Svea Dog at Göta Lejon), was a Swedish variety show produced by AB Svenska Ord. It was written by Hans Alfredsson and Tage Danielsson, commonly known as Hasseåtage and directed by Tage. The show premièred on 15 February (although it had a sneak première on 9 February) 1976 on the theater Göta Lejon in Stockholm. It was the last of the three "Dog-revues"; the first was Gröna hund (Green Dog) the second being Gula Hund (Yellow Dog). Both Hasse and Tage starred in various roles. Other cast members were Gösta Ekman, Monica Zetterlund, Lena Nyman, and Tommy Körberg. The song quartet EBBA (Lena Eriksson, Lars Bagge, Kersint Bagge and Bo Andersson) and Gunnar Svenssons Bandhundband.
