To deflect attention and get out of this mess, Simone panics and randomly accuses Paul, a man she’d just met at the park, of raping her. Paul, a failed actor who lives in his wife's shadow, is the sweetest and most harmless of men. Simone, devastated by what she has done, tries to make amends, but it's too late: the accusation becomes public and Paul a target of the collective.
