Nero Wolfe (Staffel 1)

Der gemütliche Privatdetektiv Nero Wolfe ist in der Lage, auch besonders knifflige Fälle zu lösen. Solange er nur nicht seine New Yorker Wohnung verlassen muss. Seinen Assistenten Archie Goodwin und den Detektiv Saul Panzer missbraucht er als Laufburschen, die vor Ort Fakten zusammentragen müssen. Wolfe selbst lässt sich zu Hause von Butler Fritz Brenner bekochen oder züchtet Orchideen und kombiniert nebenbei. Für die Orchideen beschäftigt er natürlich zusätzlich den Gärtner Theodore Horstmann. Inspector Cramer untersucht die Fälle für die New Yorker Polizei, Nero hat die Lösung aber meistens schneller.
