Wentworth (Staffel 0)

Nach der Verurteilung wegen versuchten Mordes an ihrem Ehemann kommt Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack) ins berüchtigte Frauengefängnis Wentworth. Hineingeworfen in diese unbekannte und gewalttätige Welt weiblicher Straftäterinnen, in der die brutale Franky mit harter Hand regiert, scheint Bea nicht lange überleben zu können. Es gibt nur eine Möglichkeit: Sie muss schnell lernen, wie das Leben im Frauenknast funktioniert. Besonders schwer fällt ihr dabei, dass sie durch die Gefängnismauern von ihrer Tochter getrennt ist. Als jedoch die Direktorin Meg Jackson (Catherine McClements) die rivalisierenden Insassinnen Franky Doyle (Nicole da Silva) und Jacs Holt (Kris McQuade) aufeinander loslässt, treten menschliche Abgründe zu Tage.
