Saint Philip Neri's approach to spirituality, which emphasized joy and personal connection, is portrayed with warmth and authenticity. The film does not shy away from the challenges and opposition Neri faced, yet it maintains a hopeful tone, reflecting the saint's unwavering faith and optimism. Overall, "Preferisco il paradiso" stands out as a thoughtful and engaging biopic that not only honors the legacy of Saint Philip Neri but also resonates with contemporary audiences.
