Ambientada en el Nueva York de los años 60, la serie gira en torno a las vidas de unos hombres y mujeres sin piedad y muy competitivos que trabajan en el mundo de la publicidad, ubicado en Madison Avenue, un mundo guiado por el ego y el amor propio de sus protagonistas, acostumbrados a hacer un arte de la venta mientras sus vidas privadas quedan bastante apartadas de sus prioridades.
