Los cuentos del guardián de la cripta es una serie animada destinada a los niños creada por Nelvana Limited. Se mostró en YTV en Canadá y en ABC en los Estados Unidos. En Canadá, todavía se transmite cerca de Halloween en Teletoon . Se basa en el programa de televisión de acción en vivo, Historias de la cripta , que se emitió simultáneamente en HBO . Historias del guardián de la cripta estaba dirigido a los niños y esta serie fue significativamente más suave que la versión de HBO y toda la sangre y el gore eran completamente omitidos con el fin de apuntar a la audiencia infantil. La serie fue cancelada el 10 de diciembre de 1994. En 1999, el espectáculo volvió al aire como "Nuevas Historias del guardián de la cripta".
