La historia se sitúa en 2005, en un suburbio de París asolado por los disturbios. La familia Jebli, a la cabeza de una red de tráfico de cannabis, ve cómo su imperio se desmorona tras una importante operación policial. Driss, el miembro más joven de la familia, se ve obligado a tomar las riendas de la empresa criminal, abandonando sus ambiciones de hacer carrera en las finanzas.
