Brenda y Brandon son dos hermanos que se mudan desde Minnesota al barrio de Beverly Hills de Los Ángeles por motivos familiares. Es allí donde van a conocer a una serie de amigos que serán su nueva pandilla en pleno desarrollo de la adolescencia a la madurez. Los protagonistas se enamoraran a lo largo de las diez temporadas que duró la serie pero también se desenamoran, se pelean con los amigos, se reconciliriaran, tendrán problemas con sus padres, con su colegio y con el mundo entero. Pero todo ello entre ropa de marca y coches de lujo. Se inicia la serie cuando los hermanos mellizos Walsh llegan a Beverly Hills, deben afrontar un choque de estilos de vida entre la fría Minnesota, de donde llegan los hermanos y la soleada y elitista California. En el colegio secundario, los mellizos se encuentran con un mundo dorado de dinero, elegancia y de cuerpos con aspectos que parecían irracionalmente perfectos hasta para los estándares de California del sur.
