Quinientos años en el futuro, la humanidad ha sido eliminada por los enterrícolas, criaturas genéticamente creadas a través de la unión de ADN humano y animal por el doctor Daigo Tatsuro, cuyo propósito inicial era ayudar a la raza humana a sobrevivir un poderoso virus que amenazaba con acabar toda vida sobre la faz del planeta. Una guerra se desencadenó entre ambas razas, con el vencimiento de la nueva.
