Más allá del límite es un espacio televisivo antológico de ciencia ficción estadounidense de la década de los 60s, co-creada, dirigida, escrita y producida para la cadena ABC por el director Leslie Stevens (1924-1998). Cada episodio del programa era una historia autoconclusiva, como ocurría en otros programas similares (Historias de la cripta o La dimensión desconocida). Sin embargo, y a diferencia de estos programas, las historias de The Outer Limits eran exclusivamente de ciencia ficción. Basada en relatos sobrenaturales, este programa tuvo dos temporadas 1963 a 1965. A mediados de los años 90 se realizó un remake, que duró siete temporadas, desde 1995 a 2002.
