1977. Han pasado dos años después del asesinato del capataz de la finca y su mujer, dos tractoristas y la esposa de uno de ellos. Onofre, un periodista, decide volver al lugar de los hechos, que además es su pueblo, para realizar un reportaje. A su llegada al pueblo de Paradas (Sevilla), se da cuenta de que su amiga Chelo no le dirige la palabra, ya que su tío fue acusado de matar en aquel asesinato múltiple a la tía del periodista. En el pasado, siete semanas antes del asesinato, se observa cómo ninguna de las personas que se vieron afectadas por el caso sabía lo que estaba a punto de ocurrir.
