Los hermanos Lawrence interpretan a los hermanos Roman: Joe, Matt, y Andy. El padre de Joe, el mayor, se casó por segunda vez después de que naciera Joe. Después de que muriese su padre, Joe se va a vivir con sus hermanos y la madre de éstos. Tienen un taller mecánico en el que trabaja la guapa Louise y el torpe pero simpático Lloyd.
