'Emerald City' se trata de la nueva y oscura reinvención de la obra firmada por el neoyorquino L.Frank Baum: 'El Maravilloso mago de oz'. Gira en torno a los 14 libros originales que narran las aventuras de la joven Dorothy en als Tierras de Oz y que coincide con la víspera del 75 aniversario de la icónica película de fantasía producida por Metro-Godlwyn-Mayer.
En ella, una Dorothy testaruda y de unos veinte años de edad vivirá una increible aventura cuando se vea inmersa en una épica y sangrienta batalla por el control ddel mundo de Oz.
El creador y 'showrunner' del nuevo drama de NBC se trata de Matthew Arnold ('Siberia'), y Matt Arnold y Josh Friedman ('La guerra de los mundos') son los productores ejecutivos del proyecto.
