Ésta historia de crímenes y secretos gira en torno al descubrimiento de una familia muerta en una casa puesta a la venta, recayendo todas las sospechas sobre el antiguo jefe de policía del pueblo. Un hombre retirado quien hizo muchos enemigos durante su trayectoria profesional. Ahora se está recuperando de un accidente de coche en el que su mujer falleció y al que él sobrevivió de milagro.
