La historia del drama se ubica en los últimos años de los 60's en Japón. La principal rivalidad en la historia es entre Manpyou Daisuke, un poderoso banquero, y entre su hijo mayor, Manpyou Teppei, dueño de una empresa de acero. Por algunas razones, Daisuke parece no gustarle su propio hijo y cuando Teppei encuentra la razón del odio de Daisuke, toda su vida se pone al revés con fatales consecuencias.
