'American Vandal' es una serie original de la plataforma Netflix que se centra en el vandalismo de un alumno de la escuela de secundaria llamado Dylan Maxwell (Jimmy Tatro). Este es acusado de cometer actos gamberros después de que unas pintadas de spray aparezcan en los coches que hay estacionados en el parking de la escuela. Es por ello por lo que el periodista Peter Maldonaldo (Tyler Alvarez) abre una investigación para descubrir quién es el responsable de los actos vandálicos. Ese es el tema principal de los ocho episodios que conforman la serie, ya que la polémica de las pintadas será el primer caso a explorar y un gran misterio. La comedia de Netflix sigue la línea de otras series presentadas por la plataforma como 'Making A Murderer' o 'The Keepers'. En este caso, se desarrolla la historia de Dylan Maxwell, que será expulsado del colegio debido a que es un chico muy problemático. Sin embargo, se le acusa de una broma que él dice no haber cometido.
