La historia tiene lugar en un mundo donde no existe la “música”. Los humanos le temen a unas formas de vida misteriosas conocidas como Miminashi (literalmente, sin orejas), y las únicas personas que pueden enfrentarse a estos seres son los “Prayers”, que pueden conectarse y pilotar un mecha. Ekowo, un chico que vive en Liverchester, una ciudad pobre, fue testigo hace una década de la gran batalla de Fes, y del combate del “Prayer” Jimi contra los Miminashi. Desde entonces, los ha admirado. Un día, Ekowo, está buscando en la basura, como de costumbre, cuando se encuentra con Myū, una misteriosa chica sin recuerdos, que tiene un conector de entrada de audio vacío en su cuerpo.
