現役を引退しラスベガス市警の伝説的存在となっているブラス元警部が、謎の襲撃者に襲われる。視力の衰えたブラスは襲撃者を射殺。その襲撃者が持っていた紙幣から、かつての誘拐事件とのつながりが浮上する。２年前からラスベガス市警ＣＳＩの主任を務めるマックス（マキシン）は、ブラスが呼び寄せたサラやＣＳＩ分析官のアリーらとともに捜査を開始。やがて、現在は専門家証人として活躍する元分析官のホッジスが、ラボ在籍時に証拠を捏造していた可能性が高まる。もし証拠が捏造されていたのであれば、数々の裁判の証拠が無効となり約８０００人の犯罪者が釈放されてしまう……。この危機に対応するため、グリッソムもラスベガスに戻ってくる。果たして、ホッジスは無実なのか！？ 一方、ＣＳＩ捜査官のジョシュアは、質店の焼け跡から店員の死体が見つかった事件を調べる。
