高校で演劇を見た瞬間「俳優になりたい」と夢が芽生えた松戸諭（まつど・さとる）。東京に行けば何か得るというノリ一つで、関西から幼馴染みが住む東京・表参道へ上京。人生充実している幼馴染みを横目に、貧乏で俳優への道も全く掴めない彼は、ある日、持ち前の嗅覚で自動販売機の下に落ちていた航空券を拾う。その持ち主は、なんと芸能事務所の社長だった！まさかの“縁”に拾われた諭は、人気女優の運転手をしながら、夜はレンタルビデオショップのアルバイト。それらの人生の出会いの数々が、やがてテレビや映画に“よく見る顔”の俳優・松戸諭を育てていく。そして全米公開された映画出演がきっかけで、アメリカから突然の電話が。ハリウッドのオファーかと思いきや、それは絶縁していた兄にまつわる知らせだった･･･。
