深～い海の底にある海底都市”ビキニタウン”に住む黄色くて、四角いスポンジ・ボブ。スポンジ・ボブはパイナップルの家にペットのカタツムリ・ゲイリーと住んでいて、ハンバーガーショップ「カニカーニ」でのバイトが大好き。いとも簡単にトラブルに巻き込まれる才能の持ち主でもある。怒りっぽいお隣さんのイカルドの邪魔をしていない時以外は、親友のヒトデのパトリックと、スリリングなことが大好きなリスのサンディといつも楽しく遊んでいるよ。
