『花の子ルンルン』は1979年2月から1年間、テレビ朝日系列で放映されました。主人公ルンルンの使う魔法は、念じた服に着替えられるという、ささやかな、しかし女の子にとっては夢のある魔法です。それに加え、海外旅行が今ほどポピュラーでなかった放映当時、あこがれのヨーロッパを旅してまわるというコンセプトが人気を呼びました。物語の終わりには、その回にちなんだ「花ことば」が解説されます。この作品から生まれた言葉「ルンルン気分」を満喫できる名作です。
