До чего могут довести виртуальные компьютерные игры? До реальных приключений! Пятнадцатилетняя Кейт Реддинг и её младшие брат и сестра так увлекаются новой компьютерной игрой, что их затягивает в другую реальность! Они попадают в край пиратов, сокровищ и таинственных островов. Не зная, как вернуться назад, в свой мир, дети разбивают лагерь на лоне экзотической природы. Лагерь превратится в небольшую военную базу, когда им придется отбиваться от Капитана Чёрное Сердце с компанией пиратов и от банды детей-бродяг. Кейт, Николас и Сара узнают, что единственный способ вернуться домой — закончить игру, победив всех врагов в неравной битве, и отыскав пиратский клад.
