В будущем передовые технологии позволили создать массивных роботов — «Лейборов», которые стали использоваться в различных сферах деятельности. Первоначально лейборы были ориентированны на строительные нужды, но со временем их стали использовать для выполнения пожарных, военных, охранных и иных функций. Лейборы — всего навсего машины, управляемые людьми. В руках преступника лейбор является опасным и мощным оружием.
Полиция будущего ведет борьбу с такими недобросовестными пользователями лейборов, используя специально разработанные для полиции машины — Патлейборы. Эта история рассказывает про второй отдел Специального Мобильного Подразделения (SV2), состоящий из людей, делающих все возможное для предотвращения преступлений и обеспечения безопасной жизни населения.
