Самый известный полицейский сериал Германии, первая серия вышла в 1970 году. В 1981 году в сериале появляется комиссар криминальной полиции по имени Хорст Шимански, эта роль по настоящему прославила актёра Гётца Георге, а серии с его участием считаются самыми лучшими из всего сериала их условно именуют Schimanski-Tatort.
