Главный герой сериала — борец с преступностью Томас Коул. Его передвижная крепость и его оружие — алый автомобиль «Додж Вайпер», который в случае опасности трансформируется в высокотехнологичную и практически неуязвимую машину под названием «Змей». «Змей» оснащен всевозможными видами оружия для ведения боя с могущественным криминальным кланом, взявшим под контроль целый город. Единственное оружие, которое может остановить распоясавшихся преступников — Вайпер, но ему нужен водитель... Если у человека нет памяти, его можно снабдить памятью.
