Сериал повествует о приключениях 13-летнего мальчика по имени Мэнни Ривера в вымышленном мексиканском городе под названием Чудо-город. Отец Мэнни — супергерой Белая Пантера, дед — суперзлодей Пума Локо. Сам Мэнни владеет волшебным ремнём, крутанув пряжку которого, он превращается в Эль Тигре — существо, наделённое сверхспособностями. Однозначно определить Эль Тигре как героя или злодея невозможно, потому что Мэнни сам не решил, кем он хочет вырасти: с одной стороны, быть хорошим это похвально, но с другой «зло — это намного веселее». Так что Мэнни — обычный тринадцатилетний мальчик, который не очень любит школу, зато обожает повеселиться и при этом у него есть сверхвозможности, которые он использует как для добрых дел, так и для шалостей.
