Детективы Кейси Стюарт и Санни Хан принимаются за расследование очередного нераскрытого дела о преступлении, совершенном много лет назад. На разделительной полосе шоссе неподалеку от Лондона находят человеческие останки. Детективам удается установить, что останки принадлежат 16-летней Хейли Рид, которая пропала в новогоднюю ночь перед Миллениумом.
