Могилы осквернены, тела выкопаны и оставлены в выставочных образцах домов… Вместе с телами оставлена фотография Поля Мезоневра, некогда выдающегося сотрудника криминальной полиции севера Франции. Страшные находки заставляют пенсионера вернуться к работе. Девушка-детектив Сандра Уинклер приступает к этому мрачному делу вместе с ним.
