Housos (Season 0)

Housos is an Australian comedy television series created by Paul Fenech for SBS, that screens on SBS One. The series is a satirical parody of low income Australian residents of fictional suburb Sunnyvale, who are living in Housing Commission public housing. On 1 November 2012, a film based on the series was released in Australian cinemas, titled Housos vs. Authority. On 9 September 2012 it was announced that Housos would return for a second series, which premiered 22 July 2013.

Overview: Franky, Shazza, Dazza, Kev and Vanessa are the Housos of the Housing Commission. Lifelong unemployed bludgers they are entirely reliant on government pensions to support their way of life. That way of life entails stealing, bashing, bonging, drinking and rooting each other and whoever they meet down the block - the very worst park of the very worst suburb in Australia - Sunnyvale. When one of their unAustralian neighbours dobs in the Housos for collecting extra welfare payments, the stooges at Centerlink deliver an ultimatum - make an onstage educational presentation about life in Housing Commission or lose the government pension forever. Head honcho Houso Franky Falzoni steps up to direct and star alongside his fellow Housos in this highly entertainment and marginally educational stage show recorded live on opening night before a sell out crowd at Sydney's iconic Enmore Theatre.

Overview: In a desperate mission of reaching her Mother before she passes away, Shazza approaches the last person in the world and asks for their help - Angry, of the Bikers Gang - who in return uses her dilemma to a lucrative advantage. So, with a soulful of good intentions, four best mates and an unlimited fuel credit card, Shazza drives all the way to Aires Rock. Unfortunately, things don't go to plan, as the zany group of AusChav's get themselves arrested, broadcasted all over Australian television and, to make matters worse, leave Franky to experience some very personal deep probing from an unexpected guest in the desert.
