To celebrate the anniversary of the birth of the father of the railway and the steam locomotive, Simon reports from Derbyshire on a gigantic preservation puzzle. At Matlock, the Peak Railway Society has stripped down its prize possession - a British Railways Standard Class 4 Tank engine 80080. After shot blasting the boiler and refitting new steel tyres, the 10,000 pieces will be reassembled and another giant of steam will be restored to its former glory.
