Armchair Theatre is a British television drama anthology series of single plays that ran on the ITV network from 1956 to 1974. It was originally produced by Associated British Corporation, and later by Thames Television from mid-1968.

Overview: Producer: Sydney Newman. Written by David Osborn. Starring: Joanna Dunham, Alan Bates, Sheila Allen. A young single girl finds herself pregnant. The play proved to be controversial and was not transmitted on grounds of decency because the girl showed no remorse about the condition she found herself in.
