Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils is a 1982 Hong Kong television series adapted from Louis Cha's novel Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils. The 50 episodes long series is divided into two parts, with their Chinese titles as 天龍八部之六脈神劍 and 天龍八部之虛竹傳奇 respectively.

Overview: YU, the prince of Tai Li is a good-temper man who dislikes fighting and ignored his father's order to practise martial arts. He slips out of the palace and follows a tea-trader to watch the annual competition of the two branches of a martial art clan. He is mistaken as an enemy by the disciples of the clan and is persecuted by them. He is then rescued by LING, a pleasant little girl from outside the clan. The clan is attacked by another group of fighters, and YU tries to stop their fighting. He is captured by the invading group and is forced to take posion, as the leader of the group is also bitten by LING's posion fox. YU has to find the cure to LING's fox's posion in order to enchange for the cure that can save his life.

Overview: YU, in the course of finding the cure for LING's fox posion, accidentally falls down the cliff. There he discovers the entrance to a secret cave. He found a sculpture of a beautiful girl and the methods of practising the martial art of the SIU YIU clan. He then goes to look for LING's mother in order to rescue LING. LING's father SAO is an enemy of YU's father meets YU and tries to kill YU. SAO hurts himself accidentally and LING's mother has to look after him. She gives YU a bag which would be able to represent her and rescue LING from the kidnappers. YU, bumps into a gang of rubbers on his way, who are attacking MUK's home, he tries to help MUK and gets himself involved again.
