The film isn’t really about choice or making the “right” decisions. It is about countless universes, dimensions and layers of time, each offering different lives to be lived. These lives are not simply parallel. Sometimes universes intersect, sometimes they overlap more often. Since time itself is not constant, it can speed up or slow down, and the same event may occur in different “moments” across universes. We perceive this as a sudden flash of recognition or even as a glimpse of what is yet to come.
At its core, the movie is about the endless number of lives a single person can experience. And by the end it becomes clear that even if a person were given immortality and eternal life, they would still eventually turn eternity into complete ruin.
