Nhằm phát huy tối đa tiềm năng của học sinh, Trường THPT Thực Nghiệm Minh Long, một ngôi trường tư thục tại thành phố Tinh Châu, đã thành lập lớp 12-11 do thầy giáo tiếng Anh xuất sắc Lôi Minh và cô giáo tâm lý Tang Hạ dẫn dắt. Lý Nhiên là một học sinh cấp 3 bình thường tại Trường THPT Minh Long. Từ nhỏ cậu đã mồ côi cha mẹ, vẫn luôn sống nương tựa cùng bà nội. Dù ốm yếu bệnh tật, bà nội vẫn chăm chỉ làm việc kiếm tiền, nhất quyết bắt cậu thi đại học để thực hiện giấc mộng robot của mình.
