Cô trốn thoát khỏi một khu nghiên cứu trên một con đảo ven bờ biển Kamakura ở Kanagawa Prefecture trong Nhật Bản sau khi giết hại các nhân viên của khu nghiên cứu. Sau khi trốn thoát được một ngày, Lucy kiệt sức nằm trần truồng trên bãi biễn và ở đó cô tình cờ gặp gỡ cậu bé Kohta đang cùng e gái Yuka của mình dạo quanh bờ biển. Kohta và e gái Yuka đã quyết định đưa cô về chăm sóc tại ngay phòng trọ của mình và đặt tên mới cho cô là Nyu. Cả ba người dần dần quen thân với nhau và bắt đầu ổn định một cuộc sống mới. Từ khi Lucy (Nyu) về ở chung với 2 anh em Kohta và Yuka thì rắc rối luôn rình rập họ. Những nhóm người tại khu nghiên cứu, nơi từng giam giữ Lucy luôn tìm kiếm và thuê những mật vụ để truy lùng ra cô.

Kurama, the head scientist from th efacility where she escaped, has sent a merciless man, Bando, after her.

Tổng quan: The offshore facility, headed by the scientist Kurama, sends a special task force, headed by the ruthless, cold-hearted assassin Bando, to hunt down Lucy at a beach in Kamakura. However, they only encounter her in her innocent "Nyu" state. She is hit over the head by Bando. Bando then tells his partner to finish Nyu off, but the hit reverts Nyu back to Lucy, who kills Bando's partner, and goes after Bando. Lucy uses a firearm to shoot and injure Bando. In the end, Bando has been dismembered and blinded. Lucy reverts to Nyu before she is able to kill Bando. It is seen here that Lucy and Nyu switch between each other depending on the events surrounding them. After being injured by Bando, Kohta is put in the hospital, but is not severely injured, and is released hours later while Yuka goes looking for Lucy. He encounters her back at the house and forgives her.
