Robot Chicken

A series of pop-culture parodies using stop-motion animation of toys, action figures and dolls. The title character was an ordinary chicken until he was run down by a car and subsequently brought back to life in cyborg form by mad scientist Fritz Huhnmorder, who tortures Robot Chicken by forcing him to watch a random selection of TV shows, the sketches that make up the body of each episode.

"Robot Chicken," a groundbreaking stop-motion animated series created by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, premiered in 2005 under the banners of Williams Street and Stoopid Buddy Stoodios in the United States. Utilizing a unique blend of stop-motion animation and live-action segments, "Robot Chicken" has carved out a niche for itself, appealing to a wide audience with its edgy and often dark comedic style. The series is structured around the fictional premise of a mad scientist's chicken, brought to life through a bizarre experiment, who hosts a variety show from inside a toy-filled barn. This setup allows the creators to explore a vast array of topics, from nostalgic childhood toys to contemporary celebrities, all while maintaining a frenetic pace that keeps viewers engaged. The show's willingness to push boundaries and tackle taboo subjects has earned it both critical acclaim and a dedicated fanbase, making it a staple of Adult Swim's programming.
