Danny - Carol puts him in a desk chair with a thinking cap and makes him sit there until he writes a thank-you note to his grandmother. Blake - Force him to talk to a girl he has a crush on. Casey - Marilyn has Adam do her math homework, and makes her do the corrections, but it's difficult to do since she's dressed as the Golden Gate Bridge. Adam - Marilyn shows him Tiffany kissing a pizza delivery boy. Jack - Marilyn makes him put on his wedding tuxedo (to show that time has taken its toll). Paul - Carol invites her mother to move in with them.

Carol in the end decides to make the pie ""her own way"" by getting a ready-made pie crust with filling in a can, which turns out to be the recipe.

He talls Jack, Jack tells Marilyn, and Marilyn tells Carol. When Carol finds out, she decides not to have her tubes tied. However, when Barb drives Paul to the doctor to get the vasectomy, he chickens out and the two are having sex without birth control unknowing. After a test, Carol learns she's not pregnant.

In the end Barb finally admits she's not perfect, and that she failed at helping them lose weight, although Tom had lost five pounds due to going two weeks without coffee cake.
