这是VH1的真人秀，暂时找不到任何的中文官方译名，所以我只能根据与其具有相同背景的《The Game》一书的台湾译名将其命名为《把妹达人》。这名字可能听起来有点怪，但大家能明白什么意思就行了。 这个真人秀有点类似于《飞黄腾达》那样，每一集要踢一个人回家，那么他们比试的是什么呢？首先，8位参赛者并不如同《飞黄腾达》的参赛者那样具备相当的学历、良好的商业素质与团队精神，他们是可爱的失败者，我说的是把妹这个方面。（如果你需要一种具体的形象，不妨想象一下“40岁老处男”。）Mystery（台译：迷男）以及他的两位助手将在每一集里教授学生们一种技能，包括装扮、开场白、接吻……每一集里的后半部分，Mystery都要求学生们在酒吧里实战本次节目所教授的技能，而Mystery本人以及助手将通过闭路电视全程监视学生们所说的每一句话所做的每一个动作，最终根据他们的表现将最差的一位踢走。 可能有些人会以为pick up就仅仅在于发生性关系这么一个目标，其实不是的。想想宅男（或者是geek或nerd）与把妹达人的差别吧，这包括自信心、沟通能力、社交能力等等很多方面的因素，因此更多的人将成为把妹达人的过程看作一种自我提升的过程。然而观看VH1的《把妹达人》真人秀更多的是娱乐性质，就好像观看《飞黄腾达》并不能够让你成为MBA一样，想要成为真正的把妹达人还需要更多的理论知识学习以及实战经验哦。
