东京多摩市的若美谷高中迎来新的学年，新生冢原（新井爱瞳 饰）性格内敛羞涩，热爱读书，与周遭环境格格不入。某天她在图书馆借书时，发下书里花落了一张纸条。纸条上的文字引起冢原的好奇心，她不自觉想要找到纸条的主人。与此同时，三年级原戏剧部成员立花亚麻里（吉川友 饰）在图书馆读书时，引起了二年级学生一平（真剑佑 饰）的注意。后者希望亚麻里无论如何都能担当他执导电影的女主角，结果遭到对方严词拒绝。樱花烂漫的季节，两个女孩在各自的道路上悠然前行…… 本片根据辻村深月的同名原作改编
