美容师夏树（江角真纪子 饰）29岁，处于拉警报的年龄。除夕，她和好友冬美、春子，这三名寂寞女性相约到北海道度新年。看着北海道上空的璀璨烟花，男女们齐声新年倒数，夏树迎来了1999年。随后在一个很尴尬的情况下，夏树结识了摄影师宗一郎（反町隆史 饰）。 不久，当地发生了一次爆炸事件，宗一郎以新闻记者的身份到现场拍摄，在一片混乱中，他为担架上受伤的女孩小荠（木村佳乃 饰）披上自己的外套，这一举动也阻碍了现场拍摄。宗一郎因此被调到东京本部，重遇了正在相亲的夏树。相亲失败告终，夏树愤而离开，宗一郎载着失意的夏树坐直升机。与此同时，小荠为了寻找宗一郎从北海道来到东京。随后，与夏树同住的春子表示弟弟会来暂住，而他居然就是宗一郎！命运的相逢，29岁的单身女性，25岁的新闻摄影师，会擦出什么样的火花？
