高丽时代武士崔莹（李敏镐饰）为救活因敌人的攻击而受到生命危险的鲁国公主（朴世荣饰），通过天赐之门穿越到了现代首尔市。崔莹向一个寺庙的僧侣说明“在寻找神医”的情况之后，僧侣答道，“你索要寻找的是整形外科的医生”。崔莹在僧侣指引的整形外科里找到了柳恩秀（金喜善饰），并向其问道是否能救活患者。柳恩秀看到穿着奇怪、身上佩刀的崔莹，误会其为怪人并未认真听取他的请求，而警察也开始捉捕崔莹。崔莹一看情况紧急，故意弄上一个警卫，让柳恩秀治疗。这才明白过来的柳恩秀，立刻治疗受伤的警卫。而一直看着这一过程的崔英相信，柳恩秀就是上天赐给他的神医，并决定把其带到高丽。崔莹“绑走”了柳恩秀，并摆脱追捕的警察们到了天门前面。
