《成长的烦恼》是一部由美国ABC公司拍摄，艾伦·锡克、乔安娜·科恩斯、柯克·卡梅隆等主演的大型情景喜剧片，共7季166集，每集长30分钟，中国由上海电视台引进，上海人民艺术剧院影视部配音，上海电视台译制部译制，从1990年一直播到1994年，主要讲述了一个普通的美国家庭的日常生活，获得过美国金球奖提名、艾美奖其他和技术类奖项。《成长的烦恼》讲述的是关于居住在美国郊区长岛（也许用“城市远郊”这个词更恰当）的西佛（Seaver）一家的故事。他们生活在纽约的郊区，父亲杰森·西佛（Jason Seaver）是一个心理医生，母亲麦琪·西佛（Maggie Seaver）是一个记者，他们有三个孩子：分别是迈克（Mike）、开萝尔（Carol）和本（Ben）。故事刚开始的时候，麦琪回报社开始上班，而杰森则在家里开他的心理诊所，一个个有趣的故事就这么发生了。不过后来，随着剧情的发展，有了一些情节的改变和新演员的加入。，是中国大陆较早引进的国外情景喜剧，在中国从1990年一直播出至1994年。1990年代初期一经播出就引发了收视高潮，片中迈克开朗调皮的形象为广大观众所喜爱。而剧中西佛医生对子女采取启发式教育的方式，也让观众得到启示。
