异人族是继复仇者联盟、银河护卫队与捍卫者联盟后，又一组被影视化的属于漫威电影宇宙的超级英雄团队，由异人族领袖黑蝠王（Black Blot）及其皇室之家领导。这群拥有超能力的外星人曾在漫威电影宇宙的剧集《神盾局特工》中被首次提及。异人族生活在月球阴暗面的一座城市阿提兰（Attilan）。故事讲述一场军事政变威胁到了皇室之家，成员们被迫分批逃至地球；在逃到夏威夷后，他们必须设法重聚，并在家园被彻底摧毁之前，及时找到回家的方法。 剧版《异人族》由漫威与ABC以及IMAX联手打造，于2017年9月1日在IMAX影院公映前两集，接着于9月29日正式通过ABC电视台播出。
