It all started with a big bang...or rather, in East Texas.

《小谢尔顿》是一部单镜头喜剧，主要讲述童年时期的谢尔顿·库珀（Sheldon Cooper）跟家人一同在德克萨斯州生活的故事，才9岁的谢尔顿就即将要去上高中了。
兰斯·巴伯（Lance Barber）将饰演谢尔顿的父亲。拉根·雷沃德（Raegan Revord）和蒙塔纳·乔丹（Montana Jordan）会分别饰演谢尔顿的双胞胎妹妹及哥哥，佐伊·派瑞（Zoe Perry）饰演谢尔顿的母亲，一个虔诚的福音派基督教徒，有意思的是，在《生活大爆炸》中饰演谢尔顿母亲角色的演员劳里·梅特卡夫（Laurie Metcalf）正是佐伊·派瑞（Zoe Perry）的母亲 。麦肯娜·格瑞斯饰演天才少女，也是米西的朋友佩吉。
