Sony TV宣布拍摄10集新剧《卡特 Carter》，由Jerry O’Connell及Sydney Poitier主演，在月底于安大略省的北湾升机拍摄。这部由John Tinker开发﹑Garry Campbell执笔﹑Scott Smith执导﹑目标在国际频道播出（包括在AXN）的剧集题材类似FOX的已砍喜剧《律师兄弟 The Grinder》，讲述Harley Mackay（Jerry O’Connell饰）曾经是部热门侦探电视剧的主演，但他因为在好莱坞公众面前崩溃，只得灰头土脸地回到自己那死气沈沈的家乡。 主角决定运用剧集里的经验，成为一个真正的侦探，并与他那认识良久﹑不爱废话﹑任职警察多年的朋友Sam St. Clair（Sydney Poitier饰）合作查案。
