In 1960s Britain, an upstanding detective takes on a dangerous world
George Gently - Los Incorruptibles (Inspector George Gently o George Gently en el piloto y en la primera temporada) es una serie policíaca de la televisión británica basada en las novelas de Alan Hunter. El papel del inspector es interpretado por Martin Shaw y el del sargento detective John Bacchus por Lee Ingleby. La serie está ambientada en los años 60. El escenario de las películas se sitúa en Northumberland y el condado de Durham (extremo de la costa noreste de Inglaterra, en la frontera con Escocia), a diferencia de Norfolk (costa este) en los libros. Hunter escribió un total de 46 novelas de George Gently entre 1955 y 1999, que fueron adaptadas en gran medida para la versión televisiva.
