La zona muerta es una serie estadounidense de ciencia ficción/suspense protagonizada por Anthony Michael Hall como Johnny Smith, que descubre que él ha desarrollado capacidades psíquicas después de estar en coma. Basada en la novela de 1979 de Stephen King La zona muerta (largometraje protagonizado por Christopher Walken), su primera emisión fue en 2002 y fue producida por la Lions Gate Television y CBS Paramount Television para USA Network. La 5ª temporada de la serie se estrenó el 18 de junio de 2006. La serie fue filmada en Vancouver, Colombia británica, Canadá, para las primeras cinco temporadas. Pero a partir de la sexta temporada, la producción cambió a Montreal.
