Pantera Negra o T'Challa (su verdadero nombre), es un superhéroe que lucha contra el mal gracias a su gran fuerza y agilidad, combinada con su intelecto, misticismo y una variedad de armas desarrolladas con "vibaranium", un material secreto capaz de absorber las vibraciones sónicas que obtiene en su país de origen, Wakanda. Tras suceder a su padre en el trono de la ficticia región africana, vistió el atuendo ceremonial del Dios Pantera, para pasar a convertirse en Pantera Negra, el primer superhéroe negro. Su debut en los comics de Marvel fue en 1966 en un número de los 4 fantásticos en el que se enfrenta a ellos, sin embargo, más adelante se acaba poniendo de su lado formando parte incluso de Los Vengadores.
